Hi there, I'm the creator of Red Diamond. I am a one person Team, figuring out the intricacies of developing a trading card game. I want to Thank everyone who came to visit this website and once I get a foothold in developing the game, I will use this Newsletter to present you with my updates, challenges, and thoughts about game design, along the way.

- Why Make Red Diamond? -

Good Question. Maybe a silly answer. I wanted to make a trading card game that involved something that I have always really loved, the real world. Not just History or Art or Science, but the grand embodiment of living in a world with such wonders, and in a time where we might actually appreciate them.

- Who is Playing this Game? -

Nobody at the moment. At the time I am writing this, the game rules have entered their first promising Beta and only a small selection of cards actually have any Artwork. But my hope is that once people start stumbling across this website, they will take advantage of the free pdf creating features that I have programmed into the site, to start playing some games.

- The Business Model -

There is none. This is a passion project that has been fueled over a decade. I want to create something really good and offer it up for free to the world. Maybe, I can make someone's day or present them with their new favorite game. Hopefully, one day I can get organized and begin selling the "Officially" printed cards and other accessories on a platform, at a tiny overhead, but maybe that's asking too much. That's why I always want this game to be free and to allow the use of proxies at all events.

- Help by Testing this Game! -

This website hosts a lot of opportunities to give me feedback on the game, once you've played it. I want to hear your thoughts. For years, game communities have discussed how much their input might help a game. I think that is totally true. You might need a lead designer to make the tough decisions and keep their vision alive, but the fact of the matter is that the players really do "make a game".
